Dishes, Dishes, Dishes!!!

I am sure none of you ever do this, but sometimes I just hate doing the dishes. Rivers is a pretty good sport about it though. He didn't grow up with a dishwasher, but I did-so ever since we have been married it has been a struggle for me to get used to having to hand wash everything. I will say that Rivers has been really good and has washed his fair share of dishes.

Here are our bare cupboards.

And here is close to every dish we own.

The process can be quite tedious when I let it get this bad. I have to use the smaller white container for our rinse water since our sink is a single. Well anyway, just wanted to let you all in on a little "dirty secret" of mine. :) Our house isn't always clean.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. We have a dishwasher and I still let my kitchen get so messy sometimes. I HATE washing pots and pans and other large items that don't fit in the dishwasher.

I don't blame you. We didn't have a dishwasher our first 3 years and that drove me crazy. It is now a prerequisite. How are you guys doing?

If I didn't have a dishwasher, I'm sure I would let them stack up. I do let my pots and pans pile up for a few days. I always say that I'm letting them "soak".

Haha, I'm with Amy in saying that I'm just letting things "soak" for three to seven days. I don't need to tell you what a disaster our kitchen is most days!

I moved from a dishwasher to a non-dishwasher house. Not so fun! I'm re-learning how much I hate dishes.

Monica I absolutely do not do well in a non-dishwasher house! It just brings the spirit of the entire house DOWN! My husband was pretty good about doing them when we didnt have one too, but I just cant stand to wash them by hand even once a week..........good to know im not the only "sinner"
