Where to start??? Poor Rivers, doesn't even watch the show yet he has to hear all of my rantings and ravings about it. Finally, at the risk of sounding unsympathetic and untouched by the amazement and wonder of Scott's ability to play the piano and sing (kind of) even though he is blind; I have to say "SCOTT'S GOT TO G0!!". I mean Come On!!! How many other people are going to get kicked off even though they can sing better -and btw despite what Kara says this is a SINGING competition and not a pity party. (Yeah, I can't stand Kara) We all know Simons critique, although blunt and brutal at times is "Spot On", so why do we need to waste time and sit thru one more judges opinion.
Anyway, back to the more infuriating issue. Why does America think that keeping Scott on is doing him a service. He is blind and not deaf-as such, he has probably realized at this point that he does NOT compare with the other's, don't you think that he is starting to understand that he is getting sympathy votes. And even if he has a disability - who wants to be patronized like that on National Television. I would have much MUCH much rather seen Alexis Grace in the Top 10 and on tour than to have to listen to Scott. And, Matt Giraurd in the bottom 2!! For real, does America even know what a good voice sounds like. Bottom 2 should have been Megan Joy & Scott. Just my opinion. Lucky for you I didn't have time last week to post anything, because don't even get me started on Adam Lambert-- Uuuggghhh!!!

Wow. We totally disagreed last year but I am with you this year! I cannot believe Scott is still on the show. He's good, but not nearly good enough to be in the top 10. I can't stand Kara either; she makes me cringe. Simon is the only judge I even care to listen to anymore. Matt is my current fav right now so when he was in the bottom 3 I almost cried. Adam scared me really bad two weeks ago but I LOVED his performance last night. I'm trying to overlook his freakishness because I think his voice is amazing. I'm over Danny and his colorful glasses but he's good and I'll be fine if he wins. Scott & Megan definitely need to go home. I've lost interest in most of my shows but I'm still very passionate about American Idol (can ya tell?).

I feel pretty strongly about Megan - she drives me crazy! I have asked Tyler if he'd care if I blogged about her and he declined (we watch it together though). Her dancing is the worst and I think someone should tell her that she really needs to knock it off! Otherwise, my favorite this week was Adam of all people. I guess we'll see.
I think you might need to get your speakers adjusted. Just so you know I totally disagree. Scott has much more musical talent than most of them and everyone knows that Adam is going to win with ease. But I do agree that Matt is a favorite.

Anyway, I wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic or not, but my speakers are fine. :) Let me clarify, I think Scott is awesome for being able to be so talented on the piano, but that doesn't make him the best SINGER.
This is quite the debate you have going... I enjoy watching it, and I have to say Megan's dancing is so irritating.. I think Adam has an awesome voice, but he is kinda weird, and scott... 'eh? i'm not too into it that it bugs me he's still there, but I don't think he is quite up to par either.
Well you know how I feel about the whole Scott thing, but just to add to the conversation...
I agree it isn't right that people who are better singers and performers are being kicked off, while Scott remains only because "America" (read: probably 30-something moms addicted to the show and I can say that because I am a mom, just not a Scott fan) feel sorry for him. It is doing him no favors. And it is almost embarrassing to watch. I think he has a good attitude and a lot of talent, but he is not right for this show and I hope the producers are kicking themselves to putting him in the competition.
Regarding Adam. I love some good emo music as much as the next tweener bearing the weight of the world, but he is not the emo I thought he would be. Musical theater all the way. I think he is talented in a way that I don't identify with and I think it is okay that he isn't ashamed to be himself. Still, I don't want to watch it for the next two months (yet I will).
I survived the Cookster, I can last through this mess of contestants, but between Kara and my apathy/horror of the performances I don't know what to do with myself. Probably go read more blogs...:)
Oh my gosh...your loves, likes, don't care either way...I totally agree with you. I love those three and Adam? I'm more and more confused after every performance. How in the heck is he getting so praised from these judges? It's nuts! Anyway, we should start watching the show together. We seem to have the exact same opinion :)
One more thing, Matt is on my LOVE list. Love the r&b voice. I have a soft spot for that kind of stuff. Anyway, that's all!

I cannot stand Scott, I think he has Vampire teeth. He needs to shave his hair, and make a CD with piano music. Adam has made Johnny Cash roll over in his grave, and I HATE the comb-over look, or the chick hair-do either way. His "undress me eyes" into the camera make me want to vomit. Ugh, he's so gross. I was glad to see that Megan went home, she had her uniqueness but it ended there. I love your loves, and the others are getting old. This show makes me so angry, the judges are wishy washy, with exception for Simon! Kara's smug looks drive me crazy and she says the same thing week after week. Paula is okay, but I wish she would just "Spit it out", why she stutters on her words we'll never know. Randy is the dawg so who cares. WHAT?! So yeah, this year, there are some major annoyances with the show, but still the ratings are enormous!! Let's hope the true singer wins!!
