AST DEW TOUR

Looks like us making it out to the Dew Tour might become a tradition. We went last year because that is when Rivers started skating again, and we thought it would be cool to go check it out. It is actually really exciting. Here is us at the 2007 Dew Tour inside the Energy Solutions Arena. I will try to figure out how to put a video on youtube and then add it to our blog. My favorite event to watch is the BMX Park. Last year we got an awesome video of Scotty Cranmer doing a front flip 360* over the table and a double back flip. I wasn't ever much into extreme sports back in the day, and I don't claim to know who these guys are, but I have to admitt that I get chills just watching. It is so fun. Then you get to walk around outside and get free stuff. :)


Then this year at the 2008 Tour we got to watch
Chaz Ortiz beat out, 3 time Dew Tour Champion, Ryan Shecklar in the Skateboard Park competition. Sorry to all the teenage girl fans of Ryan, but it was pretty awesome to see a kid 14 years old win. (Check out the link) It is kind of frustrating to see how little some of these kids look, and how good they are. Rivers just put my new board together and I feel like a complete idiot on it. :) I did however, make it through our neighborhood and down to Reams with no major falls for my first trial run. Of course, I wouldn't let go of Rivers hand the whole way.


And sorry if this is offensive to anyone, but I did feel that I should include just a few pictures to demonstrate to you the wonderful fans that we found ourselves surrounded by. Yeah, I don't think we will be getting in his way.
