It seems that Date Nights don't always turn out the way that we want them too. Sometimes we can be really excited for a night out with our significant other and then something happens that spoils it. Not all things can be prevented, but it sure can be disappointing at times. Well, Rivers and I had a great night on Monday which made up for our not being able to go out on Valentines Day.
For those of you who don't know, Rivers and I have a secret desire to race, own amazing cars, drift, and have our own motocross track on our property--one day. :) Expensive hobby, we know, so for now Millers motorsports park and Fast Karts will have to tide us over.
Monday night we went to Fastkarts and it was great. I literally come out of there with my arm muscles sore. First time around the track Rivers was in the lead and I was right behind him. He spun out around a turn and because I was following too close I slammed him into the wall and then kept going. I did feel bad that he had to wait for the guy to come get him back on the track. Then about 6 minutes into it, and doing very well, I got over confident and too spun out. Unfortunately, Rivers lapped me twice while I was waiting for the guy to get me turned around. Even still, in the end Rivers came in first and I came in 3rd. Not too bad, but it will be better next time.
We finished it off with an amazing dinner at the Macaroni grill downtown. Because I was in such a good mood I even broke out of my routine and tried something new. The Chicken Marsala Ravioli. It was scrumptious. The sauce was superb. All in all it was a great date. Thanks Rivers, you are the best.
Oh yeah, by the way. We are looking for more people to join in with us and do a group race (40 laps) if your interested let us know. We are game!

Oh wow. I LOVE chicken marsala...if you want a quick recipe, let me know. I don't know if Jeff loved it as much as I did.
What a fun date night. Jeff and I need to try that, but I'm such a chicken, I can barely drive my own car around town. You should see me at boondocks. I'm always the last one in...even after all the 8 year olds.
Sounds super fun!! I have to mention how dashing the two of you look in your helmets. I'm glad you both had a good time, its always fun to get out and do something different!
I am tagging you. Put down 10 interesting things about yourself and then tag 3 people.
