10 years ago I was a mighty Senior at Hurricane High School (the long awaited year of being at the top of the food chain, he he) Of course, it seemed by the time we got to be Senior's all the little sophomores and jr's thought they were all that. I had quit my job at Ace Hardware so that I could enjoy my last year of High School, but only accomplished being broke by the time I graduated. I had some good friends at HHS and enjoyed myself, but the guy I had a crush on since 7th grade still hadn't figured out that we were perfect for each other, and for the most part our "Class" was kind of lame (sorry, if you were in my class) not individuals just as a whole. Needless to say I wasn't sad to move on.
I wore boxers under my Graduation robes and didn't even think Grad night was very cool.5 years ago, I was dripping with sweat in the sweltering heat & humidity of Ping Dong Taiwan. Probably, darting between mopeds on my bike with Sister's Bown & Allen right behind me on our way to a Qing' Ke (Dinner-consisting mostly of yummy rice, fish, and veggies). At that point I had been on island long enough to atleast have a handle of the language and I was in the best area with the BEST zone leader (Elder Grimley) BEST district leader (Elder Hutchings) and the BEST ward. It was however, at this point in my mission that I had major disagreements with the AP's and shocked my companions and district when I wasn't afraid to speak my mind and tell the AP's exactly what I thought. (And just so you know, I was right!!! :)
5 months ago, Just coming back from the Holiday's which is always a little discouraging. We had a great time with our families for Christmas and New Year's and now it was back to life.
5 things on my "To Do List" : 1) Put the dishes away. We washed them last night and then piled them on the counter to dry, now I just need to put them away. 2) Book our hotels for our trips so that we actually have somewhere to stay when we get to the unfamiliar lands we have chosen as our vacations. 3) Call Jamie, and chat about life, men, love, disapointments, goals, and whatever else comes up. 4) Find a wedding present for Lindsay & Chris. 5) Write down an actuall list and start working on it.
Wow!!! This is turning into a long post-hope your not too bored.
Alright, 5 snacks I enjoy. Only 5? Okay, not in any kind of order but I love guacamole and chips, there isn't a better candy for movie's than Swedish fish (I could eat the whole bag), String cheese, 100 calorie pack chips ahoy, and popsicles (only in the summer).
5 things I would do if I was a Billionaire. 1) go on a month long vacation to Asia or Africa, where we could really spend time getting to know the culture and people. Plus, if we went to Africa I would want to see the Gorilla's and go Crocodile Hunting. 2) Get laser hair removal for me and Lasik for Rivers. Bye Bye shaving. Maybe I should do #2 first so that when I am in Africa I don't have to bother with the shaving or else ending up looking like a gorilla myself. 3) Move to Taiwan and adopt a little girl. 4) Buy Rivers his choice of foreign race car, have it imported, and buy a year supply of tires so that we could practice drifting.
5) Make sure our parents have fun money as well as retirement (probably would have already taken them all on a trip too) and then invest the rest.Okay, I am going to shorten up the last 3 questions into one. 5 places I have lived, 5 things you may not know about me, and 5 people to tag. Price, Utah. Kona, Hawaii. Hurricane, Utah. Taiwan, and SLC. See one of my previous posts for the things you might not know about me. And finally I tag---Lindsay, Natalie, Cassidy, Alysia, and Shani.

Great memories! Its fun to look back and see where we were! Oh and I really like your template for the blog, very cute!
Wow... that seemed like the ULTIMATE tag. I was in PingDong the same time! I will have to agree that Elder Grimley was awesome! can't remember who was AP at the time... went through quite a few I think.
Ditto about our lame class and dumb Grad Night! I was glad to see I made it in your picture, though!
Isn't it funny that I feel like I know you more now via blogspot than I did back in highschool? ;) Grad night was totally dumb, I agree. Better make the 10 year better!
Ahhh...I've been tagged! Darn you now I have to get my rusty memory to work. It's ok It'll be fun. I'm glad you enjoy the Hurricane pics.
I love Blogging!!!
Def get hair removal first. You never know when you'll have time to shave between gorillas and crocodiles.
I think graduation is always kind of lame.
Monica I found your blog through Heathers and I have to say that I had NO IDEA that you married Rivers Pentico! My cousing is marrying Lindsey this in a couple of weeks (why am i telling you? Im sure you know!:) My Mom is always talking about how neat she thinks your Mom is, as they are in the same ward. You and Rivers are such a cute couple! I have to say I agree with Ky, you and Heather about Grad Nite. To be honest nothing from that night is memorable enough for me to recall! Take Care!
